Use of the wireless network and devices in the library

The library has an open wireless network (WiFi) that appears in the network list on your device as Vieras186. You do not need a username or password to log in. Ask the staff for help if necessary.

Customer computers

The customer computers have internet access, a printing opportunity and an Office suite. Thus you can use the customer computers for work in addition to browsing the internet.

Some of the workstations can be reserved and others you queue for. You can reserve a computer

· using the computer reservation system

· at the customer service desk.

The reservation will be cancelled 10 minutes after the start of the reservation if the computer has not been logged in to.

To reserve and use a computer, you need a library card and a four-digit PIN. The same PIN is used for lending machines and in the online library.

If you do not have a PIN or a library card, you can get both from the customer service points by proving your identity. Visitors can get separate credentials which also require proof of ID.

Printing and photocopying

You can print in black and white or colour on all customer computers in the music department. The printouts are directed to the copier. The same device can be used for photocopying and scanning.
All are subject to a fee.

The copier is located in the music department.

The computers in the children’s department cannot be used for printing. If you need to print, please ask the children’s department staff for help.

Scanning

The library scanner is located by the window in the music department and is connected to customer computer number 13. The scanner can be used for one hour at a time.

You can use the scanner to convert A4 or smaller images and documents to a digital format. The use of the scanner is free of charge.
